what we accept
We gladly accept new and gently used clothing in clean, wearable condition. This includes tops, bottoms, outerwear, shoes, and accessories for adults and children of all sizes. New underwear and socks are always welcome and greatly needed.

Do I need to wash items before donating?
Yes, please. All donated clothing should be clean before drop-off. This helps us move donations to our boutique quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I donate items other than clothing?
At this time, we focus on clothing, shoes, and accessories. We're not currently accepting furniture, household goods, or toys.
Can I get a tax receipt?
Yes! Community Threads KC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We can provide a donation receipt for your records. Just ask when you drop off.
What happens to items you can't use?
We do our best to responsibly redirect items we're unable to use to other community partners rather than sending them to landfill.
Can I schedule a large or corporate pickup?
Yes! For large donations from businesses, retailers, or organizations, please contact us directly to arrange details.
